This $303 million ecological park was planned to educate users about the local ecology and the importance of ecological conservation, provide recreation for the public, and at the same time enhance and preserve the natural environment of the site. Although the site is relatively large, the geological configuration and high density development restrict the size and features that can be included if the existing environment is to be preserved. The MENG Analysis study found the design
to be a well-conceived solution for a complex site, but offered numerous other valuable, creative proposals—completely in keeping with the ecological and conservation goals of the park—
to improve the project.
