PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This value analysis study was for the City of Calgary Green Line LRT, which is a major north-south transit link. The ultimate goal for the Green Line as planned is to run through The City of Calgary from Keystone Hills in the north to Seton in the south.

MENG Analysis assisted the City of Calgary with three Green Line design packages:

North

  • The North leg of the track includes stations along Centre Street between 9 Avenue and the future community of Keystone Hills.

Centre

  • The Centre section includes twin-bored tunnels through downtown Calgary and under the Bow River.

South East

  • The South East leg will be 25 km long, running from 4 Street and 10 Avenue S.E. to Seton, and includes 15 stations, seven Park and Ride facilities, and a Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) maintenance and storage facility.

MENG Analysis developed $2,559,729,000 worth of cost saving proposals.
