PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project is a replacement for the existing Black Diamond Elementary School. The school includes a two-story building configured around an interior courtyard. Lower grades will be housed on the first floor, with grades 3-5 and library on the second floor, and mechanical support areas housed on the mezzanine floor.

The building will be predominantly wood-framed construction. The mechanical system
is intended to be a 2-Pipe/Fan Coil Hydronic system with bid alternate for air
conditioning throughout. Resilient floor and carpet are intended for the floor finishes
and acoustical tile for ceiling finishes. LED fixtures are proposed for both interior and
exterior lighting. Exterior wall finishes will be cementitious lap siding and panels with
minor metal panel accents. Stormwater management systems are proposed to include
a large detention vault.
