PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The City of Redmond commissioned MENG Analysis to assess 26 buildings across 14 sites. The study identified recommendations for energy conservation upgrades and features.

Findings included:

-
Mostly moderately maintained facilities.
-
Several serious concerns including exterior enclosure, pool structure and aging systems, and teen center hose tower.
-
Many roof issues exacerbated by overgrown landscaping.
-
Inconsistencies in system types complicate maintenance requirements.
-
The city should continue the preventive maintenance program, including scheduled technology upgrades.
-
The greatest needs are the public safety building (major HVAC and exterior envelope needs), the Old Redmond School House (HVAC needs), the Hartman Park Swimming Pool, and the Sammamish River Business Park Buildings.
